Free Brussels Workshop to Explore GDPR Certification and International Data Transfers

When can GDPR certification support an international data transfer? And what does it take to get a data processing activity certified?

At our free workshop in Brussels, you’ll hear from a data protection regulator, legal and certification experts, a lead auditor and a DPO who has been through the process.

Our speakers will unpack what the recent European Data Protection Board (EDPB) opinions mean in practice, including when certification can provide an appropriate safeguard under Article 46 GDPR, what commitments are required from data importers and where the mechanism’s limits lie.

They’ll also walk through the certification process, from defining the scope and gathering evidence to preparing for the audit. You’ll hear first-hand what an applicant learned along the way and how DPOs can use certification to demonstrate the value of their work in conversations with management, clients and procurement teams.
