Europrivacy will take part in the CEDPO DPO Conference 2026, taking place on 12–13 October at the Thon Hotel EU in Brussels.
On 12 October, Sébastien Ziegler, Chairman of the Europrivacy International Board of Experts, will join a panel dedicated to Data Protection Certifications: A New Paradigm for Global Transfers.
Data Protection Certification and International Transfers
The discussion will focus on how data protection certifications are influencing international data transfers and accountability.
The panel will explore the opportunities resulting from recent European Data Protection Board (EDPB) Opinions concerning Europrivacy certification beyond Europe, including its use as a mechanism for international data transfers under Article 46 GDPR.
The discussion will also address how certification mechanisms can contribute to reducing risks and costs, simplifying compliance and creating value for organisations.
